Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer with over 2 years of experience to join our IT team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the performance, security, and reliability of our network infrastructure.

You will work closely with other IT professionals to ensure seamless network operations, troubleshoot network issues, and implement effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Design and Implementation: Design, implement, and manage both LAN and WAN networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Network Maintenance and Support: Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure maximum uptime. Perform regular network maintenance, including firmware updates and patches.
• Security Management: Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and secure VPNs. Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
• Technical Support: Provide 2nd and 3rd level technical support for network-related issues. Collaborate with the IT support team to resolve complex network problems.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration files, and incident reports.
• Capacity Planning: Analyze network traffic and usage patterns to anticipate future network needs. Propose and implement scalability solutions to meet growing demands.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, such as system administrators and software developers, to support and enhance overall IT operations.
• Compliance: Ensure all network systems comply with company policies and industry regulations, including data protection laws.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, with a focus on network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Certifications: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent is required. Additional certifications such as CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or ITIL are highly desirable.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or other enterprise-level network equipment.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).
• Knowledge of firewall management and VPN configuration.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Language

Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
